Our Q3 Agency Round-Up

Welcome to our new quarterly company roundup series, where you’ll be keeping up with everything and anything Colewood! Let’s get going…

New starters!

With the flurry of new client work we’ve seen over Q2, we’ve onboarded some newbies to join the team here at Colewood.

First up is our new SEO Content Writer, Sam Henshaw!

Sam joined the SEO team to pursue his passion for writing, having already secured a diverse background in Social, Marketing and Management in previous agencies.

Over Q1 and Q2, our Social service has seen a huge uplift in clients, thanks to the amazing service our team has been providing. We’ve also onboarded a new Senior Social Media Executive to the Social team. Rebecca Watson joins Colewood with previous experience in Social Media Marketing and will be bringing a wealth of knowledge to the team here in both paid and organic social media.

Hello, hybrid working

We let our teams work from home during the first outbreak of Covid-19 way back in March 2020 and since then we’ve continued our flexible working scheme and asked our staff about what works best for them. We all love the office – but equally, we love our WFH (work from home) days!

So, we’ve now officially put in place our Hybrid working for the staff at Colewood. This means that 2 days a week, we’ll be in the office, and working from home the rest, allowing our staff to have the best of both worlds! We know the 9-5 Monday-Friday office life is now a thing of the past, and we want to make sure our staff can work around what suits them. We’re looking forward to kicking this new scheme off ready for Q4 – and we’re also looking at renovating our office space since we bought our building, too!

What else have we been up to?

We bought our building!

You might have spotted us in the likes of Prolific North, Central Valley Chronicle and NEE Chamber’s sites over the Summer (thanks to our Outreach team) – because we finally completed the purchase of our Head Office building in July!

Covid has been tough for most businesses, so we are thrilled that we’ve been able to continue to help our client’s navigate the tough waters as well as smashing targets for our agency.

We’re really excited about this as it means we can continue to expand our business and our amazing team of specialists comfortably in the building.

As a result of our amazing growth over the last quarter, we’re on the hunt for PPC and Business Development specialists. If you know someone who would fit in at our fast-growing agency, please send them to our careers page for more information.

Meet our new clients…

As we *might* have mentioned already, we’re proud of how far we’ve come the past year. With that has come a whole range of new clients which we’d like to introduce you to.

We’ve welcomed a huge number of new clients in the last quarter for every single service! Our team has been amazing at onboarding new clients and we are expecting some brilliant results and case studies (coming soon…) to share on our site.

Our new clients come from a range of sectors including fashion, food, beauty, interiors, accounting, technology and more.

B2B Marketing Expo

That’s right – we’re back exhibiting at the B2B Marketing Expo in November!

After an 18 month hiatus thanks to Covid, we have been planning our return exhibition at the B2B expo for a while now. If you have any questions about what we do here at Colewood, you can find us at the expo between 16-17 November at stand B2B-Q84.

‘Tis the season: Black Friday prep!

Q4 is the busiest time of year for most businesses and agencies alike. There are social schedules, product launches and marketing campaigns to plan ready for the festive period. Although arguably, more important than Christmas itself is the Black Friday weekend.

After November 2020 was spent in yet another lockdown, most businesses will be looking to make their Black Friday sales bigger and better this year, which requires a LOT of preparation. So, what have we been up to at Colewood in preparation for it?

Snooze, you lose!

According to data from Salesforce, in 2020 almost half of all Christmas shopping was done before the end of Cyber Monday – meaning if you’re not getting your business ready well before then, you’re seriously missing out.

Rather than using your client’s whole marketing budget in the week running up to Black Friday, try spreading it out over weeks and cash in on those early bird festive shoppers.

Bigger and better

After a wash-out Christmas last year (let’s not think about that….) most shoppers are willing to splash the cash, even more, this year to make up for lost time – both for the day itself and their gifting budget.

Make sure you have enough resources in place well in advance to prepare for this season – both online and in-store (if you have one). Utilise your email marketing to encourage returning shoppers and make sure you have your Christmas selection ready to go.
